Homemade Saucy Meatball Hoagies
A different version of our homemade meatballs, this time with some Italian sausage to kick up the zing. You make the meatballs at our store and bake them up at home. After the meatballs have all baked, you put them in the hoagie buns with extra sauce and cheese and toast them a little bit. That's it! They are so tasty and will be packaged in a 9x13 pan. - Gluten Free with substitutions.
Thaw in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days or until completely thawed. Uncover. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 50 to 60 minutes, until the meatballs are 160 degrees with your meat thermometer. Stir the meatballs and sauce to combine. Meanwhile, place the split hoagie buns on a shallow baking pan. Spoon the meatball mixture in the hoagie buns and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Bake for 10 minutes more or until the cheese is melted. Serve with any of the remaining sauce.
