Tender Beef and Tomato Ragout



How do you say it? It is pronounced rag-oo, like the spaghetti sauce Ragu. What is it? It is tender beef with onions, tomatoes, and seasonings that will simmer the day away in your slow cooker. It will be packaged in a plastic bag. - Gluten Free & AlaskaFit approved meal.

Cooking Instructions:

Tender Beef and Tomato Ragout

Thaw in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days, or until completely thawed. Place the contents of the beef package in a slow cooker. Stir in 2 cups of water (1 cup for small). Cover and cook on a low-setting for 8 to 10 hours or on a high-setting for 4 to 5 hours until the beef reads 155 on your meat thermometer. Serve over rice. Rice Bring a saucepan of 2 cups of water (4 cups for 2 bags), 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1 Tablespoon of butter to boil. Add rice, stir and cover tightly simmering over a low heat for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand covered for about 5 minutes more.
